Dana Robinson

Dana is a corporate attorney with 17 years of experience. She listens carefully to her clients in order to bring their business plans to fruition and mitigate risk. Her practice areas include capital formation, corporate governance, securities compliance, business succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Dana focuses on providing down-to-earth, pragmatic solutions to complex problems and serving as a trusted adviser to her clients. With a background in investor relations as well as law, Dana also has significant experience reviewing client websites and social media for reputational and securities-compliance risks. 

Prior to joining Penwell Law, Dana worked as a corporate attorney with a firm in Charlotte, North Carolina and spent six years as in-house counsel to a group of private equity funds. She attended the University of Florida, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, followed by the University of San Diego School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor and graduated in the top twenty percent of her class.

Dana served as a member of the Business Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, which proposes and monitors changes to state business laws and regulations. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her two children, husband and poodle-mix. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling and reading.
