“My experience as a entrepreneur who has started, grown, taken companies public and sold them has given me a unique perspective when advising clients. I have experienced at a very personal level all of the issues you face in your business, which I believe is a tremendous benefit to my clients.”
Scott, a corporate and securities lawyer for 40 years, has been a partner at large international, national and regional law firms. Over the course of his career, he has represented hundreds of clients in every phase of their corporate life cycles, including formation, growth and exit phases. Scott has represented start-up banks, insurance companies, insurance agencies, mutual funds, hedge funds, tech companies, service companies, professional practices, manufacturing companies and franchisors.
Throughout his career Scott has also been an entrepreneur like many of his clients. He has been a founding investor in banks, insurance companies, insurance agencies and numerous tech companies. He has had the unique experience of founding two insurance companies, growing them, taking one public, and selling both to larger insurance companies. His experience as an owner, director and officer of various companies has given him an insight into running and growing businesses that few lawyers have.
